Thank you in advance.

Just bought our first hybrid and I want to replace the latches for bunk ends I found a place called fastec but they don't carry them due to vendor issues and when I call local dealer they want my vin number and as I explain that they were not an option for my camper.so if any might have done this upgrade and have the part numbers would be helpful

Try Global Link. I have been looking at them for a while. For about $100 I can have the entire unit keyed to one key.

Hey Mcola,
I'm guessing you have the older style of latch, a kind of screw-down arrangement.
The newer 23B's have a nice latching mechanism. Our now gone 23B had the newer style and at one time I had tracked down the manufacturer but have lost the link. The link to another thread below will show a replacement that one of our members has done. http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8125

Maybe one of the Hybrid owners can find a name or website on their latches.

A call to Jayco might help, perhaps they can direct you to the supplier or even sell you the parts.

An update: Try this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fastec-Self-...-/290813862769

Most all of us have this type of system on our trailers and I think we would agree they work very well.
Take note that that picture shows this latch upside down, it latches from the bottom up and not the top down. When folding the end up by yourself you'll most likely be standing on the ground and with the latch arm hanging down its easy to grab and swing it over and just push it up into place.

It doesn't matter but it easer this way and the only time you'll be locking it is when it parked and not in use. No need to lock it when it's on the road, they won't open on you.

I would somewhat question mounting them with the lock(key) down, it would seem to me water could get in there and cause possible problems. With the lock up, which is how they come from Jayco/Starcraft, you can seal against water better. Plus, as Tunce mentioned, it is easier to latch them.

I wonder the need to lock them at all. I would have been happy with the setup that is on my trailer but as long as it works better than the bad design ones on there now

Hello Folks

I've just purchased some of the latched mentioned above to put on my 2003 KIWI 23B.

Does any one have tips on installs, I've already done an upgrade last weekend with a VIP 3500 Tongue Jack.

Thanks in advance for your help.
