E450 Engine cover cup holders.

Hi all...

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic top of the doghouse that has the cup holders and convenience trays? A big bump, and two cups of ice tea and BOOM, it needs serious cleaning!

We just can't figure out how to pop it loose.

Thanks!

I don't think they come off. I took the whole thing off and added two more layers of insulation. It's pretty easy. Good luck!

Thanks,

I was hoping that the entire top of the engine cover that has the cup holders and small storage areas would pop off for cleaning. The thing is a mess from spilled drinks.

Good grief, I can't believe that I have to remove the entire engine cover just to wash out the drink holders.

That's not a very good design!

You may have the mess cleaned up by now. If not, my cup holders come off, with the whole piece attached to the dog house. Just lift up from the bottom. By removing the front piece of the dog house, it is easier to remove the dog hose when getting at the back of the engine. Stan

Yep, this is the way to get the cup holder/cubby off. It doesn't break down any more than that. Pulling the dog house is 4 more clips after that.
