Smile Hey! New from BC, Canada!

HI...we're new to the group, new to RVing and haven't even taken our maiden voyage yet! We bought our beautiful TT back in May. We were just about to head up north to our trapline for 2 months when we found her, bought her and towed her home. Had about 30 minutes to get to know her before we were off to our cabins. The whole time there I kept pinching myself... she was really sitting on our property at the other end of the province, waiting for us to come home and get better aquainted! I'm super excited to get on the road for our first trip. We are having to wait a month after having our dogs rabies shots though (US rules for taking a dog over the border). In the meantime, I'm busy filling her up with kitchen stuff, bedding etc. It's so much fun!! I found some wonderful collapsible things on Amazon for the kitchen and have been finding the right sized containers for cupboards. My sticks and bricks house has taken a back seat to this. Probably should do some cleaning.
Anyways, as an intro to who 'we' are...My husband and I are in our early 50s, with 2 still at home kids (we have 5). We will be using our new TT as a live in on Vancouver Island, BC next year from January to June. We are homeschoolers who have reached the point where our 4th and 5th will be attending a 'real' school for part of the year. We will only have #5 with us in the TT though, as #4 will be staying with her grandmother so she can attend the school of her choice, while #5 will be going to a private school where his teacher will be one of his BILs! We will also have with us 2 dogs, 2 cats and a bearded dragon. I'm hoping that after the initial long term stay in the TT that we will then decide to continue our adventure by travelling in it.
Sorry to make this so long...but am really happy to have found this group and hope to make it a regular stop on my internet travels!

Welcome. Well many say 'go big or go home'. You seem to be doing a lot of both.

Sounds like an adventure. Enjoy all of it.

regards, dave.
