Just bought a 2015 28 BHBE from Albany RV

Well we crossed over from a PUP to a TT. I always considered this to be "glamping" but with 3 ladies and myself the PUP grew too small.... we were lacking storage and packing bins became a chore on a very limited time schedule as it was ! So after months of looking we found we really liked the 28BHBE the best. Though it's late in the season we will atleast be able to get it home on Thursday 10/30 and open up Camp Driveway and see how we like it
Anyone have any pointers, suggestions.....

Hello, I ordered my octane 273 from Albany RV. Did you have a good experience so far? I dealt with Sara. I hope all goes well when it comes in. Good luck with yours!

Mike - I'm towing with a '11 Dodge Ram Crew Cab 1500 Hemi
Rick - I was the first customer at their new location, they were great ! I was "talking" with another dealership closer to me but didn't really care for the salesman and some stuff happened and I told them I would be purchasing from Albany though it was a little more $$ but I think it was worth it in the long run. Monica was my salesperson and george completed all the financing for us.

Is this the RVDirect.com dealership?

Congrats on the new trailer. We looked at the 28BHBE and really liked it, but we think we are going with the 29QBS.

SPOON - Yes it is, Demo went good when I got home I found some minor issues and they forgot the LED lights in the awning so I will be calling them in the am. As for towing I noticed a little sway in it on the thruway and a little bounce and figured that was going to happen so I plan on putting in some bags in the rear suspension for ONLY when I am towing.

You mentioned a little sway .... What type of weight distribution hitch do you have or any sway control?

Fill, I have the same TT model (2014)

We love it, this floorplan is perfect for a family imo!

I had sway issues also at first, did 3 things:

- ensured that I had sufficient weight on the front,
- slightly overfilled my truck's tires (recommended 30psi made the sidewalls too soft under load)
- Ensured that my Equalizer hitch had proper nut tension.

Since then, no more sway, I see a little wiggle at the back when I tow it, but there is no sway felt (either on the truck or the TT). I noticed that when I follow a car hauling rig, or an open cage-rig, I get more wiggle at the back of the TT but nothing dangerous

Enjoy your 28BHBE

One of your original questions was pointers or suggestions.

I would like to POINT out that your going to have a much more enjoyable Glamping experience. And I would like to also SUGGEST you get out there while the weather is nice and camp, camp, camp...

Seriously though.. We moved up from a pup to a TT last year and are in heaven.

Congrats on your purchase, our 28BHBE is a 2013 model and we have spent 2 years in it as a seasonal, we have camped over 100 nights in 2 years so yes we really are enjoying it. Here is a pic of our setup, we have the only tiki bar in the campground
