Newbie Power Control Centre Question

We just purchased a 2011 Jayflight 22fb a few weeks ago, and are getting antsy for our first trip planned in May. We've been tinkering around in it here and there and I noticed the power control centre has been making a high pitch feedback noise, is this normal? The noise is driving me crazy although my husband barely hears it. We are connected to shore power and did have a space heater running at the time, because although spring has officially sprung, apparently nobody told Alberta.. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Do you think it's an electrical squeal or just the fan turning on? When you use a number off 12-volt items (lights, furnace, water pump, etc), the converter will convert 110v to 12v when on shore power so that you don't run down your battery, as the unit warms up it has a fan that cycles on/off to keep it cool.

An electrical squeal is bad, the fan turning on to cool down the unit is no problem.

I did also have Sirius radio running on 12v at the time, but when I unplugged it and turned all the lights off I still could hear it. How often does the fan come on? Hopefully it was just the fan..

Mine is doing the same thing. High pitched squeal not associated with the fans as they are not on. It is coming from the DC Converter and only the DC converter which was confirmed through turning off the breaker to stop it. It seems to be in charge and boost modes only and not on float. It's going in for service as a result.

Can you please let me know what your dealer says? I need to decide whether or not its worth the two hours drive to my dealer…
