To be fair the service contact profusely apologized for the mix up and admitted it should never have happened. I later found out that Jayco wanted the dealer to do a "plastic weld" on the tank puncture but the dealer refused believing it would likely fail because of where the puncture was located. Thankfully the dealer is OK. On a different topic, any thoughts on the tires they're putting on the new Pinnacles? Mine are max load of 3,000 per tire. Over time these tires weaken and I have had experience on prior rigs of similar GVW of blowouts on these E range tires. I purchased a new Jayco in 2006 with G load range..no problems. I plan on replacing the factory tires with G range. Going over the road with 16k I believe G load range is the choice. BTW I was told that I could not order G range on my new unit. Also I prefer steel wheels since the aluminum wheels will in time develop hairline cracks leading to slow deflation. Thoughts?

In reference to tires and rims, I changed my E rated tires out to G614's after several blowouts and tread separations on 2 sets of E tires( Goodyear Marathon ST's).

I had one rim replaced with a pinhole defect but am still using them. I run the G tires at 100psi. So far so good.

I'm with you on the tires being close to maxed out. I would gladly pay extra for a tire upgrade and do not understand why the mfg's. don't offer it.

I replaced my original "E" rated tires with "G" rated when the tires hit 4 years old. I wanted to get rid of them before they had issues. Fortunately my wheels were rated for 110 psi so no new wheels were required.

Now for the furnace issue...

As posted before the air vent in the baggage compartment melted. Finally got the dealer to get some temp readings. 194 degrees coming out of the living room vent which is directly above the baggage compartment vent. That got Atwood's attention after days of no response. Now the Jayco service guy says that Atwood told him that 194 degrees is Ok ! This is above the temp set for the limit switch inside the furnace. How can that be Ok? There is also too much volume in both the living room and baggage compartment. Meanwhile apparently there's only one guy at Atwood who can make the call on telling the dealer what to do next, and he's teaching a training class. That makes us S.O.L. My Jayco tech did say that on another floor plan where the sofa covered the living room vent (assuming when slide was in) , IT DID CAUSE A FIRE! If you own a Pinnacle with one of these floor plans I suggest you get it checked out ASAP! Can't make this stuff up folks. Just have to wait for the Atwood trainer to finish his class to give us answer.... Oh well it's only a little fire hazard.

Oh yeah, on the grey water tank, after ordering the wrong one, and sending out the right one a day late, we hope it will be installed tonight. (Day 6 of life on hold because we bought a brand new Pinnacle)

Pennsy We have been in your shoes and we do hope that everything gets worked out to your liking. Don’t get dishearten by certain responses overall this is a great sight and awesome tool filled with experience. It teaches you what to do and what not to do to your coach and it also allows you to respectfully vent which for sure makes you feel better. Hope everything goes well for you.
