Battery disconnect

During the delivery of our TT I was told to disconnect the neg battery cable when storing to prevent discharge. Has anyone installed a cutoff switch to quick disconnect the battery? One came with my boat and is just a turn of a key instead of removing the battery cover and removing the cable. Seems much easier. Or are there any other suggestions?

The Pinnacle FW and possibly others come with a battery disconnect switch so why not just add the switch.

I just pull the fuse on the battery when storing for more than a few days (and not plugged in) to prevent battery drain.

I have never had a need for a battery disconnect in the past. Now that we are leaving our Jayco in Az I am thinking it would be easier and faster than disconnecting the batteries.

I spin the wing nut off the hot lead and call it good.

Our Jayco Eagle already has the disconnect switch but I keep our unit plugged in anyway at home. It has come in handy however for troubleshooting problems.

I installed the one in the pic because you can also see the locking straps that I placed around the batteries.....one can kill the batteries in case of an emergency with the switch because the batteries covers are locked on.

I just mine today. Plan to install friday

I just take mine with me. It stays charged on a float charger in the garage, and doesn't grow legs!
