Driftstone on the Delaware is a great CG. It is approx.8 miles south of the Delaware water Gap (Rt. 80) on the PA side. Very clean family CG, slightly expensive but you can get a site right on the river. We have been going every year for the last 20 years.

Great Divide

This campground looks interesting. My Grandmother and her parents were from Newton. I was planning on going up there some time to do some genealogy work. Looks like a good place to stay close to everything I need. I didn't see many pictures of the sites on the website and those that were shown were only tents. We have a 26' fifth wheel, are the sites and roads wide enough to maneuver and back in?

X2 on Mountain Vista - we spent three nights there and really enjoyed ourselves. Lots to do onsite for the kids and close to the Gap. We were surprised. Perfect spot for a weekend trip. O

Hickory Run in Denver is ok as is Starlite. Starlight has the best view in Lancaster if you can get a front row plateau site. Beautiful.

Ringing rocks is nice for a short trip too, lots of seasonal there but a nice place.

We will have to check out Great Divide.

It's a small CG with a lot of seasonal but it's always been clean and quiet when we have been there, and ringing rocks park is cool and if you are in to hiking it is close to Hancock mountain. Which is a short hike with a cool summit ... and the highest point in bucks county. Enjoy.

I've been going to Promised Land State Park my whole life, started off tent camping in the Pines section, then Lower Lake with the PUP. Stayed in the newly renovated Pickerel Point section this year and it was great. Going back last week of August for four days. Also will be staying at the Great Divide the weekend of the 14th.

Great Divide Newton NJ

Just spent 4 days at the Great Divide in Newton. Overall it's a pretty good CG, there are lots of seasonals but the one we were next to was a very nice older gentleman who we made friends with.
There's a decent playground for the younger ones, a giant sized chess/checker board, a small fishing/boating lake and enough activities to keep you busy. Like most private CGs I've encountered, it's pretty tight but the sites are large, especially in the M section.
The store is pretty small, don't go looking for milk or sugar because they don't sell it.
My kids enjoyed it a lot and want to go back so it wasn't too bad I suppose...

I just spent 3 days at The Great Divide campground which is really close to where I live. We also got a great spot in the M section, like njdanmc, which is great. The rest of the campground really didn't have great spots and really catered to tenters and tenting groups. Even though my trailer is only 29' when opened, I put in for the 30+ foot area, which I think got me the good spot. Beautiful scenery in the woods. Nice and quiet. Roads are hilly and relatively unpaved. Great pool, "lake" is very small, a pond really. Very friendly staff.

I just spent 3 days at Hickory Run CG in Denver, PA (Lancaster area). Overall nice CG. Had some issues with the 30 amp service going in and out. My kids played in the creek and loved it. Pool was nice and in good shape. I didn't get the spot that I had originally reserved, so I was frustrated, but they gave me a different spot which was just as nice. Very friendly... My daughter enjoyed the activities.
