We've had trailers with and without shocks- Would not be without shocks after our experiences without shocks- JMHO- DD

Our 351 does not have them but seems to have mounts on the frame for them. Seems to ride fine, stuff inside doesn't rearrange while we're moving. I'm not inclined to install.

Ours are the same. I am not inclined to add them. I had them on my last 2 Sunnybrooks but don't miss them on this rig.

I don't really think you need them. They didn't help much on mine after I added them, but that was over 20 years ago. Manufacturers have made lots of progress in axle and suspension design over the years and have improved the ride so much that I don't feel the expense of adding shocks would be worth their cost. Just my opinion

I have found that getting tires balanced help a lot. This will stop a good bit of the bouncing in the RV.

I'm late to this thread but the new Trailer Life has an article about a bolt on gas shock system. Look at www.rvimprovementsystems.com. Brackets mount to the axel using existing U-bolts. There is another bracket the bolts into the frame and that needs some drilling. The angle of the shocks is less than you would get from the existing brackets if you have them and that is supposed to make them more effective.

I installed these in my 2007 Eagle 328RLS travel trailer and they seemed to help with dishes moving around in the overhead cabinet.

I don't plan on installing them in my new White Hawk unless everything is scattered in the cabinets. I'm hoping that the wide separated axles result in better ride.
