I've got 12v to the wall panel. The "cig lighter" socket works and the green light lights up when I press the button. Could the wall panel be defective and its not transmitting to the cable? How do I test if the cable is getting 12V, other than going up on the roof? If so, where do I connect the leads from the voltmeter?

(BTW, thanks to all for the help, especially Hitch Pin who has made numerous replies)

I would think you could take a voltmeter and check the cable out put at the wall plate. The center should be hot and the outside part should be the ground, if you have 12v. there then you would need to check the cable on the roof.

I would call Customer Service, hope this helps, this is from Jacks web site.

Improving TV Reception

When the light is on on the tv panel, you should see 12vdc on the roof going into the antenna head to power the antenna. Just take it loose and check the coax center conductor to shield.
Bad , wet or loose coax connectors can affect this voltage.

Does tha Jack antenna fold down flat when traveling? Thinking of replacing my OEM Wingaurd with one but need it to fold down on my HTT.

Improving TV Reception - THE LATEST UPDATE...

Turns out I WAS getting 12v to the antenna after all. The red light is clearly visible in the dark - just couldn't see it in daylight.

I'm still getting only 1 channel, but it is consistent quality. All in all, the Jack antenna is better than the OEM. My valley and mountain is just a hard nut to crack I guess.

Something just don't seem right, we have camped in places where I couldn't pick up even one channel before I installed the jack, I mean way down in some big valleys, but after I installed the jack, I could pick up a lot of channels. In the same places where I couldn't get anything before.
