Winterizing Washing Machine

I just purchased an LG 24" washer dryer combo unit. I'm going to install it in the Spring. I was wondering how you winterize it with the pink RV antifreeze and thought someone on the forum may know. Do I just put it in like detergent or do I start a cycle while I'm winterizing the RV? Typically I winterize by blowing out the lines.

Thanks. There's a drain on the front of most all front loading washing machines for cleaning the lint filter. I called LG and they said that by draining from this hose you are draining the whole washer. So it sounds like you don't need to add anti-freeze. Thoughts?

A small amount of water in the wrong valve, line or circulation pump if frozen might make for a really bad spring day. For the couple bucks Rv pink costs, I'd give the washer a drink of it in the fall.

Where did you buy this from? I cannot find it for sale anywhere. Thanks in advance

The model number is WM3577HW for white or HS for silver. I found it for a really good price on SearsOutlet.com

Where you do put the "pink" in the drum or in the detergent drawer?

Our washer says to pour antifreeze into the drum and then run a spin cycle, that way you get antifreeze into the pump and the drain valve. As Stingray75 the cost of one gallon of antifreeze will be a lot cheaper than the bill to replace the pump.

Also besure you put a plastic drain pan under the washer when you install it.

You can't just buy any 24" washer!

I had to move the drain pipe from behind the washer to the left side in order to get it to fit. These LG's are 24" wide like the Splendide ones they sell at Camping World, but they are deeper. About 5" deeper!
