We are enjoying our small footprint camping trailer over the years. Its great ending the busy camping day sitting around a camp fire, drinking some great fresh ground bean coffee, and enjoying some of the night sounds before heading for bed.

wouldn't want it any other way...

Well, yeah it is! Isn't that what we're all doing here!

It's been too long since we've been out, I'm getting pretty antsy...

Can you top this one? It's Marnia Dunes RV Park just outside of Monterey and this was 24/7. It was 3 nights of hell but the days in Monterey and Pacific Grove were great.

whoa, that's bad. We didn't have it quite that bad, it was mostly the rednecks with their modded diesels wasting fuel with their foot buried in the accelerator that were our biggest problem. We get the gravel trucks at home because of all the fracking...

I find myself in Monterey frequently for work. I drive past Marina Dunes often seeing those campers on the hill backed up to the highway and always wondered if its that bad. I guess so.

Its really unfortunate too, becasue there so few places to camp in Monterey. Head to the other side of the bay and there are lots in the Santa Cruz - Watsonville area or south to Big Sur -- but not Monterey.

Are there "better sites" in Marina Dunes on the other side that don't back up to the highway and might have reduced noise? Its such a spendy CG I just always assumed there was.

I guess we will stick with Seacliff and New Brighton SPs when we go to Santa Cruz.

Yes there are other sites that don't back up to the highway and it should be a tiny bit quieter but I'll never stay here again. It's way to spendy for what you get and the most I spent for a night this past trip of 9 weeks.
Thanks for the heads up about Seacliff and New Brighton.
