A/C flips Breakers

We have a 1997 Jayco C Class 30 foot.

We were installing a new floor, the A/C was doing its job until it got to 103 outside. The breaker flipped.
Was it just too hot for that one little A/C unit on the roof??
Is there something more ominous I should be looking for??

The floor looks great, but we lost some weight sweating with just some fans for cooling.

It was like being a fire fighter again. HOT.

Filthy nasty coil. It looks like the cat's box. Now I have a job to do next days off.

Clean the evaporator and condenser coils and I'll bet she'll cool like a champ.

It is possible that the breaker is getting weak as well.. if this happens again after you clean the unit then look at replacing the breaker.

Post up some pics if you can, I'd be interested in seeing what it takes to clean a unit out.

Also, for the others, how often should we consider performing this chore? Our AC units get quite a workout here in the sweltering South Texas summers!

A/C PRoblems.

I hope I fixed it.

The coil was filthy, living in Laredo, there's a lot of stuff blowing in the wind.

Placed ladder with trash can to catch water and dirt.

Removed A/C cover.

Opened plenum by removing 10 screws. Bent metal back.

Sprayed the heck out of it with Coil Cleaner.

Let it soak for 10 minutes.

Used Blade Tool to straighten out as many as I could.

I used a spray bottle to rinse cleaner off so I didn't flood the cabin. Also less pressure on coil.

Condensation pan was clogged, used screw driver to un clog.

Water dripping from celling.???? Screw was access for water, used Teflon tape, backed screw down 1/2 inch, wrapped with teflon tape, tightened back up. No more drip's.

Replaced A/C cover and sprayed bolts with sealer.

See second post for other photos.

A/C Problems

Blade tool is not like combing hair, its little tinny maneuvers. Like trying to comb hair full of tangles. Just keep working, use your finger nails to get really bad ones.

Water dripping from A/C.

There is a long bolt running though cling into water pan. Water was dripping from screw. Backed out 1/2 inch and wrapped it with Teflon tape. No more drips.
