GPS micro sd card

The sd card for the Clarion radio-GPS-etc, is 4 gb in size I did the free first map update. Had to figure it out myself as the Navi web site offers no help. It took a while but I think I caught a glimpse on the computer screen something about not enough room on the sd card. It seems to have done a complete update though. I did a full backup at that time also.

I bought a 8gb sd card and have been trying to move the date from the 4 to the 8 without much luck. I tried drag and drop, also doing a restore from the backup, but the screen stops at the warning not to use while driving. I have tried to get an answer via email as there is no phone number I can find. Been waiting a week now for the email reply. Sigh!!!

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

You are going to have to open Naviextras and select certain things to remove then put that information on the SD card. I removed all of western Europe (wont RV there) and removed all the extra languages except English. I also removed China (again, not shipping my RV there). Play around with it a little, once you get it figured out, it all makes sense.

Just The US on the sd card. But, I did finally find a section of their FAQ,s the says you can only use the SD card that came with it. No exceptions! So everyone, take care of your sd cards.

Look on the left hand side of the front of the unit. Should be about 1/3 of the way from the bottom or so. The card is behind a little door.

Our whole clarion unit just stopped working. Fuses look fine and everything on the dash seems to be working. Does anyone have a clue what could have happened? It's a 31' Jayco Greyhawk motor home. 2012 and barely been used.

Try replacing the fuse anyway. They can be blown and not look like it.

Okay we will try that. Mainly because nothing else makes sense of why that Clarion just stopped working.

Is the switch by the door on? The radio is wired to the coach power, just thinking.

I think it is on. You mean the one that disables the coach battery when stored? Or the one by the awning and not to the cab where the driver and passenger sit?

It is on in the coach and we have a brand new coach battery. Also the Big Foot leveling system will not come on either. Very weird unless they both have a fuse that blew. Is the leveling jacks and radio on fuses?

I assume you figured it out by now, but if not, check the fuses behind the coach battery. There are two of them back there, one fuses the entire audio/navi system. Good Luck!
