Hello from AZ,

Hello from AZ,
We just picked up a new 2014 Jayco 26.5 RKS this week. After searching for about 6 months we decided on this model. Thanks to this forum I was able to find tons of info on MODs. I already upgraded the mattress the Denver mattress in this model was a full queen and was terrible from factory. Got some speakers coming in to replace stock speakers, also looking to do BBQ upgrade for outside.

Thank you for welcome everyone. We just got back today from a trip up north to munds park rv resort. Had a great time even though sat and sun there was a ton of rain (No leaks). Everything works great on RV so far only thing that we will need to do is look into a lift kit for it (It rides a little high at hitch and have 6 inch of clearance). We also took it out right after we bought it to Pleasant harbor to get everything dialed in.

We are in Phoenix. We bought it to take to put up north to get out of the heat in summer time. We want to start fishing cooler lakes rather than bass fishing these desert lakes in summer also.

Welcome to the forum with a real nice rig. We live in Surprise; but get out in the summer like you will. We used to have a park model in Show Low and it was a great life; but we decided to get a trailer and move around a bit. Just got back from Chula Vista RV Resort near San Diego and it is a great park. We plan to spend some time at Munds Park next summer. You will love the fishing in northern and north eastern Arizona. Many varieties of trout found their way into my smoker over the years.

Guess that will be too big to take up Apache Trail huh...

We lived out that way back in the 60s-70s... Loved to tent camp along the trails of the north high country... We would get together with a bunch of other JEEP guys and drag our utility trailers all over the high country camp sites...

Looked alot like this google image back in the day...

We lived in the Tempe area back then working at the Space Surveillance Station north of the town of Maricopa...
