How to wire DC Voltmeter

Hey all, I'm looking to install a DC voltmeter (wired into the back of my converter) to monitor my 12V power supply. I have read the threads on here about it and understand the concept, I'm just not certain about where to actually tap the wires into on the back of my converter.

I have the WF-8955PEC converter if that helps. Electric guys chime in!

Most WFCO Converters have a wiring diagram on the back. They also come with pigtail 12V wires so all your splice connections should be close by in the back of the converter.

Voltmeters are wired in parallel with any 12vdc output circuit. That means you find a 12volt positive and wire the meter positive to it, likewise find a dc ground and wire the meter negative to it.

Still confused. I need wiring for dummies I guess. I guessing U don't just find a + and a - cable, but rather one carrying all the load from the battery? Suggestions on how to find and tap into the right ones.

There is a POS and a NEG connector on the DC power distribution/fuse board.

If you are using an external fuse in your meter circuit, then hook up here.

If you have an unused DC fuse position, then hook the positive wire to that position, install a 1 amp fuse and hook the negative wire to the NEG connector.

If you only want to measure the converter output, use an externally fused circuit hooked to the VCC+ and NEG connectors.

Search the net for your model's documentation. It shows a diagram of all the connections including your Pos and Neg terminals from the battery.
