de winterizing
I am a new Jayco owner and I am unable to find any videos or step by step instructions on how to properly de winterize the trailer. I have 2014 22FB. Any help ?

Here is what I do each spring. I fill my fresh water holding tank about halfway and then addd a cup of bleach and then fill the fresh water holding tank the rest of the way until water runs out of the fresh water tank overflow hose. I then drive my TT around a little to swish it all up. Using the onboard pump I then run each tap, bathtub, shower, sink and outside shower until the water looks clear. ( since I use pink antifreeze to winterize). I then tighten the water heater drain plug and turn the bypass valves to allow water to fill up the water heater. I then open the hot water faucets to allow water to run through the water heater. Once I feel enough bleach mixed water has run through the water lines I then open my fresh water holding tank drain to empty it out. I then close the drain and refill the fresh water holding tank with just water and then run water througfh each tap until the bleach smell is gone. Sometimes I needed to refill the fresh water holding tank a few times and run the water through until the bleach smell is gone, but those times I had help and I think my helper poured in more than one cup of bleach.

I do pretty much the same as Joe but I leave the mixture in the tank for 3 or 4 hours before draining.

Yes I too let the bleach water mix sit for a few hours after I run it through the water lines. I do this to ensure it cleans as well as kills any bacteria, mold, spiders etc that may of found their way in over the winter.

I agree. Bleach, let it sit for two or three hours and then rinse well.

My Jayco owners manual has a winterizing and dewinterizing procedure in it, along with the proper bleach ratio for the water tank. 1 cup bleach to 50 gal water, run through pipes 'till bleach smell is evident, let sit for 4 hrs, then drain and refill water tank and flush pipes.
I don't winterize my trailer with anti-freeze. I blow it out with my compressor (set at 60psi). no issues for the past 5 years.
the pink stuff was a pain to put in and flush out.

Don't forget to open the bypass valves for your water heater, you don't want to have to replace it if you start it with no water in it

Ditto... except. I always pour a little extra bleach down the toilet and sink, then I will fill the black and grey tanks all the way up and let it sit for a couple hours too. I try to use just enough bleach in the fresh water tanks in case I actually do have to drink it.
I am always trying to find a way to get the black tank a little cleaner without actually touching it :-)

Just don't heat it and drain and rinse it until it is clean of bleach.

dewinterized yesterday. only problem I have is WH does not heat on electric. It was on for two hours and nothing, no hot water. on Gas works great. Is there anything I am missing when running on electric? Everything looks fine to me. WH works but not on electric. Should I keep it on longer? I can hear a click when ON, and then some buzzing after, but thats it. I have 6 gallon atwood DSI. Any insight?

Check that the HWH breaker wasn't tripped in the breaker/fuse panel..., if nothing obvious then a warranty visit to your RV dealer may be required.
I assume that the HWH isn't in by-pass mode (LP may have warmed some water in by-pass line).

I also own a 22FB and need to do all of the above when this snow quits coming to Virginia, we've had enough! Thanks to all of the above suggestions that I have combined on a word document that I will use when I do this procedure. Thanks!
