Bed sizes

Just received the following from Judy at Jayco. Thought I would pass it along. Glad to see Jayco has seen the light and supplying beds that are "residential size" not "RV sizes"....

Reference your new Eagle trailer model # 338RLTS.
Need to know the actual size of the queen and king size beds.
Thank you,
Bill Barnard

Dear Mr. Barnard:
Thank you for your e-mail and for your interest in Jayco. The optional king bed is 72X80 and the queen bed is 60X75. Incidentally, the 338RLTS has been replaced by the 338RETS. In the new floor plan the optional king bed is still 72X80 but the queen bed is 60X80.

Jayco Sales
Judy

Hey Bill, the factory queen bed in my 2012 Eagle is 60 x 80. A lot of bed sizes are probably dictated whether you have a bedroom slide out or not.

Could be. The question I posed to Jayco was in regard to the new largest Eagle Trailer they make. Originally the queen was a "RV queen" 60" x 76".. It's nice to see they are supplying the "newer" version with standard residential size mattresses.
Our 2007 Eagle 322FKS had 2 slides and the bed was quoted as "King Size". Well sure enough it was RV King ( 72" x 76") not a residential.
I've noticed most RV Mfgr's who are supplying residential mattress sizes actually show it in their literature. Jayco didn't so I questioned them on it.
Happy trails,

One of our motorhomes had an RV or short queen bed and I absolutely hated it. Glad to see that Jayco is going with the residential sizes.

My 2014 28BHBE has a 60x74 Queen Bed.... yes I'd like to have a longer bed, but then that would have changed the floorplan...

I don,t mind too much, as I only measure 5'10.... and it sure beats the bed box I had in my 25QS Kodiak..which was barely 70",,,,,my toes!!!!!

Alot of tall old timers like me to sleep with one foot hanging out from under the covers... Almost have to get a stool from the kitchen to support the foot on some of the smaller beds haha...

My 26BH had the shorter mattress and i liked it cause generally I sleep with my feet hanging off the bed. But i guess I'm the minority
