Main slideroom found ground up metal in under bay area.
We have a 2007 Jayco Seneca 34SS, in the forward storage area in the pass through I found ground up metal under the track area.
What should I expect for a repair?
Are there easily repaced items or best left to a repair place?
The slide does OK going out but struggles to get going on the way in
I want to fix it before it breaks down on me.

I have only used a dry lube.
We are not the original owners so can't speak to what may have been done prior.
We took it to a repair place we trust and the service person said the grindings did not look like it came from the gear or track. He thinks it is more like shavings from a bolt too long or something like that.
Hopefully we will know soon.

I don't know if this is helpful but.....
We just picked up our new trailer and there are little piles of ground up metal here and there in the camper from the construction process. (places they missed while cleaning I assume).
So is there any chance the metal bits have been there all along? I can take a photo of the ones in my trailer if you like.. I haven't cleaned them up yet.

The repair guy showed me what is happening, on the passenger side front rail assembly is a wheel like a skateboard wheel.
It supports the toprail as it travels and is worn down some, the rear is fine.
He did lube the assembly so it will be OK until the parts needed come from Power Gear.
Then the room will be extended and supported, and the top rail removed in order to replace the wheel.
Too bad the engineers dont have to work on their units or it would have been made an easy fix.

X2 on the engineers working on their units - probably should add Accountants to that list as well - they seem to have a significant impact on how things are (cheaply) built.

The rail needed to be resurfaced for the new wheel or it too would wear out quickly.
The repair person said it was most likely some burrs or rough edges from when it was built.
Nice quality control...hope to get it back soon.
