The nice thing about air bags is that you can adjust them. Nothing else is adjustable that I am aware of except air shocks.

I don't think that you will need them with that truck and trailer combo. A properly dialed in w/d setup should make everything nice and level. Remember that bags level but they do nothing to put the lost weight back over your steer axle.

I'd go with air bags. I have had them on my last two trucks and have been very happy with the versatility they offer.

You can adjust them by how much air you put in them... add air when towing when solo take the air bags down to 5 psi and it is near stock ride.. I am real happy with my Hellwig air Springs... Call Nancy Souza at Hellwig and tell her you were talking to Seann in Saskatoon about them... she will be happy to answer all your questions... 800-367-5480 yep she is a woman and yep she installed a set by herself so she could answer questions about it... and NO I have nothing to do with the company...

We use air bags and increase the pressure when towing and release air for solo use- Makes for an easier ride all around- JHMO- DD

We had Firestone Air Bags on our last truck, they worked great.
We had a onboard pump, just raised the pressure when hooked up to 5er, lowered when unhooking.
Great ride unloaded and great ride loaded, less bounce off the overload springs
