End of Hosting for the Summer - Back to my Home Base

I finished up my host position day before yesterday. I have been here since May 15 and as bad as I hate to leave it is time for a change for a while. Now it is back to my home base for two weeks then I'm off to Road Atlanta for the Petit le Mans race. This is a road race where they do make right turns (for my Nascar fan friends). Then back to my home base for the winter or..............if hitch itch hits me.

My schedule is to be back on the sunny Florida Gulf Coast in May 2014 at the same park and camp site.

DW & myself thought we might like to do that on the west coast maybe next year. Can you please tell us what your duties are during your stay?

Thanks Rob.

Host duties vary park to park, but most involve bath house maintenance. This summer I was responsible for one bath house 3 days on and 3 days off. It would normally take a couple of hours in the morning and then check it again late afternoon. Not a bad gig. This was my third year at this park and I will be back in 2014.

I'm a type "A" so keeping busy is right up my alley. Duty at a park in Oregon is something I would enjoy and it could be any season. I have been working outside since the Army and never wanted to work inside again.

Thanks guys. The races were fun as usual and the plan is now to do it again in 2014.

Now I'm back on my home base site until spring, unless I get a bad case of hitch itch between now and then.
