I have a IBEW union pension AND a 401k all paid for by the union.
Last April paid cash for retirement lot in AZ.
House plans complete and ready to submit for permit.
I'll retire in 2020 on my 60th birthday and won't look back.

Spent 36 years in law enforcement, 26 years with the US Border Patrol. Retired March of 2017, at the age of 56. We spend about 5 months away from our home in AZ. We spend 3 months in Montana volunteering for BLM at Garnet Ghost Town. Best summer job for a retiree. We then travel around with no real destination in mind.

Barring any catastrophic failure of the stock market it should work out. My wife is a teacher and will have 30 years in by then and will be eligible for pension.

Bless your wife teaching is a hard job. I'm not sure if my wife will be able to stick with it until she gets her 27 years in. we bought our camper in may and all she wants to do is go camping.

Hello new to the forum. I am planning on retiring at the end of the year. I am extreme lucky. Never worked a day in my life. Enjoyed a wonderful career in the fire service for 33 years. I will be 55 when I retire and the bride who is 56 will be retiring from teaching. The plan is to upgrade from pop up to Greyhawk class c.
