Depending on where you travel to it's nice having a second call to make it the first one isn't working out. We tend to cover a lot of area each summer and have had situations where the nearest provider for one service was much further away than the second. One year we read an intermittent issue with my truck and AAA came out three times in three different states to help. It was nice knowing I had USAA on backup.
In our overall camping vacation budget the cost of membership is a tiny percentage, less than a tank of gas.
