sewer hookup for longer term install
I had my unit delivered in early January, and plan to be in it probably until December. It was recommended that I hard pipe my sewer connection, so I looked into it online. I wound up making a part, but the results are working out great in the cold blustery panhandle winter. I bought a clear camco flush connection and trimmed the quick connect nibs off the outlet. I connected it to my unit outlet (I did not need the flush connection, it is what was readily available). I connected a 3" rubber 90 to that, and then an 8' length of 3" PVC. I connected a rubber 3" to 3" coupling to that, and came out of the coupling with another 8' length of 3" PVC, this piece I trimmed to length, and connected another rubber 90 to transition from my sloped line into the park sewer pipe. I took the trimmed piece (about 15") and connected it to the other end of the rubber 90, to extend well into the ground on the park line. I got the idea from an online source, but ultimately had to use the rubber 90's to make it work well for my install because the actual angles were quite irregular, it sould have taken some time to figure out all the fittings using hard pipe (I'm definitely not a plumber). So far no freeze ups without tracing, keeping the grey tank open, maybe I'm just lucky, but I'll take it!
