I would suggest rather than using I-4 to Disney that you take exit 267A off of the Turnpike onto the 429 (Toll Road). It will by-pass I-4 which can be a traffic nightmare. BTW, stay on 429 until the Western Way exit to Disneyworld.[/QUOTE]

I definitely agree with this route. I will be doing it again myself on 5-25-19.

I just got back from a WNY <-> FL round trip and the I4 near orlando was probably the worst section road of the entire trip. It is part way through a multi-year project and is very twisty with lane changes and uneven. It was intense enough that my medicine cabinet contents did not remain in the medicine cabinet and that is the only time that happened in the entire 3200 mile trip.

Traffic wise it was busy but mostly moving along at the speed limit - this was Sunday afternoon March 31st 2019.

On my return north I chose to avoid it and the trip was much smoother.

Thanks for all of the input. The trip went as everyone described. I4 was not to bad went thru there noon on a Saturday. We then went on to Hilton Head Harbor RV resort. Beautiful place. Narrow roads in resort but well worth it. Will coming back here for a longer stay. Heading on to Tyler Texas to visit the G’Kids. Thanks to everyone who made this trip much easier.
