A week in North Georgia

We just returned from a week in Dillard, GA. I had never spent any time in that part of the state and I would recommend it to any RVer. Dillard is in the Northeast corner of the state just about four miles from the North Carolina border. It has many of the benefits of visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park without dealing with the traffic and the tourist trap towns.

We stayed at River Vista RV Resort in Dillard and could not have been more pleased. Most of the sites are gravel and pretty level. The place was immaculate. Everyone seemed to be happy at River Vista. People that I had never seen before stopped and visited any time I was outside like we were lifelong friends. To me, that is the best part of RVing.

We have camped there many times and I agree with your assessment. Especially the heated pool, hot tub and outdoor fireplace area. There are lots of things to do and see in the area.


They go all out on holidays to entertain and decorate.
