Allentown/Reading PA

Any recommendations for campgrounds in the general Allentown/Reading PA area? This area was DW summer stomping grounds as a kid (grandparents lived in Royersford) and we're planning a few days of reminiscing there before heading to Gettysburg for a few days.

Thanks!

I love blue rocks in hamburg just a few min from allentown. I would go with just a water and elec sites since the full hook ups are right next to a dump station. But great for kids and the awesome hiking trails. They also have a amazing boulder field. Appellation is nice and clean but small. colonial woods is great if you have kids, lots to do. Otterlake in the poconos is great also, but my favorite is blue rocks

I camped at Boulder Woods Campground to visit some relatives in the area last year. The sites with utilities are all water/electric but we were only staying two nights so it wasn't a big deal and they have a dump station. The park is aptly named as the view from our front door clearly illustrates.

We have enjoyed the Allentown KOA. Clean, shaded, woodsy, nice playgrounds for kids. Close to Lehigh Valley Zoo which is great.
