Any ideas for Las Vegas stay?

We're headed to Las Vegas for some work on or about 2/25/17. Our extended stay at the Oasis was kiboshed by the powers that be. Any recommendations for inexpensive/boondocking locations within a comfortable distance of Las Vegas or Henderson?

How about one of the casinos? The ones downtown and on the strip may not allow them still, but maybe one of the Station casinos will. There is a Station Casino in Henderson called Fiesta. Sam's Town on Boulder Highway use to be reasonable, I see it's now a KOA. I saw a thread recently about the RV parks within Lake Mead National Recreation Area. I checked them out online and it looks great. The rates are probably reasonable and one of them is close to Henderson. Have fun!

Sunset Station in Henderson is also an option. What part of town do you want to be in? There is less "Vegasy" places in Boulder City about 20 minutes outside of Henderson.

The work is at a strip casino, we are going to try and get permission to boondock in a lot for a few days. I have relatives in Henderson but no property big enough to hold our length.

The only place closest to the strip is the campground on the backside of Circus Circus. It used to be a KOA but no longer. You will have to call Circus Circus for rates. This is nothing more than a parking lot campground.

Hope this helps.

It should properly say that the work is at a casino located on the strip.

We stayed there once in mid June a few years ago for an overnighter. Not a tree in sight for shade. The outside temp was about 104 and the asphalt felt like 150. Once I hooked up and got the AC going, it only mildly cooled our trailer making it tolerable. The city water was as if it went through my water heater and we never had cold water. The host told me to run the water for a few minutes to get it cold. Never happened. Needless to say we got up at about 4:00 am the next morning and took off with temp at about 85. That was a brutal night.

Some of my favorite 'work' has been in those casinos.

Check out "poverty flats" on east side of Valley of Fire. There is boon docking in that area. I haven't been to it but will on next western trip. I found info from the boon docking section. I'll post it after I find a link for ya.
