Many times, we live here.
The park is the nicest spot in the area but expensive. There's also a current wild animal rabies warning in place for the park.

Yes usually at New Years if you like hiking miles of trails also for bicycles. We like the upper loop for camping.Great mountain views.A short car ride north is Tortilla Flats.Great 1/2 day trip!Picture attached is the view from inside the park.

Lost Dutchman should be on everyone's bucket list of places to visit in the SW.

Here was our stay.

Thanks for the get back. The park web site lists $30/day. I checked for open days in February and if I read it right it looks pretty booked up. Reservations would probably be needed many months ahead of time.
We haven't completely decided if we are headed there this February but it really looks inviting.
We have the capability to boon dock but have not explored that option there.
We might need to plan this better I'm thinking. I also have to deal with the de-winterizing and winterizing for the return trip. I don't think this a major thing.
Lots to think about.
I might miss drilling holes through 2 feet of ice to go fishing

I've looked at it in the past. Thanks for the reminder. Might look into going there mid-late April on our way home. Right now it shows lots of availability.
