At St. Andrews State Park This Morning

My new neighbor. He or She as the case may be is a bit over 8 feet long. The concrete drive to the right is my camp site. The man in the picture is my neighbor.

Wow and I was getting annoyed at the squirrels around our camp for the past 2 weeks. Take the squirrels any day over that beast.

Update: 8-20-12 3:50pm:

While sitting at my dinette surfing the internet, the sucker walked out of the underbrush and right down the road and into a site across the road from me. I called the park assistant manager and he came out and looked around, but didn't call any of the state wildlife people. Imagine a 8+ foot alligator roaming around in a large campground? Fortunately with all of the rain we have had and with school starting today, the park is not even close to full so no one is camped on the sites involved, except for two hosts of which I am one.

I saw this one two days in a row. The next afternoon it walked right by my site, crossed the road and into the trees and underbrush at site 145.
