Badlands, Yellowstone, GT, & Glacier

I was wondering about cooking outside during my summer planned trips to Badlands, Yellowstone, GT and Glacier. I love using cast iron to cook, but my wife is affraid of animals being attracted. What is the word on this practice. I told her she is probably over reacting, you just need to clean things up. Beyond that any suggestions on the trip, things not to miss.

We did Yellowstone, GT, Badlands, Grand Canyon, Zion, Mt Rushmore. While in Yellowstone we were concerned about the wildlife while cooking. make sure you do a good job cleaning up and use the "bear boxes" they have.
While at Yellowstone we had a Buffalo right outside of the camper. i mean about 2 feet from the window where we were sleeping. after time it went into the edge of woods and layed down. the next morning when we were packing up to leave and the buffalo returned back to the campsite and was hanging around the door licking the ground. someone must have dumped something in the fire place ring, the wife and kids were stuck inside while i was hiding from him behind the camper waiting. that lasted about an hour before it moved on to the tent campers next to us. yep tent campers with buffalo around you. it was the best 3 week vacation we had ever taken. our cross country trip took us 8100 miles in 3 weeks. it would be nice to do it over again so many beauitful places to see out west.

Sounds like wonderful memories (and funny, too!)!
