Bay View Campground on Cape Cod

We found ourselves wanting to spend the summer in MA, and decided to return to the Bay View Campground in Bourn MA. We stayed here for a week a couple of years back and its just as nice the second time around. We booked 6 weeks, so they found a space for us in the seasonal area which is further from Rt 28 and much quieter than the transient sites closer to the front. It's a very friendly group in our section and I think we will have a s great stay here.

Glad you had a good time there. We just spent 2 weeks at Scusset Beach and were looking into Bay View for a weekend getaway in August or Sept.

We are still at Bay View and will be here until Aug 20 when we will mosey back towards FL. Two of our camp neighbors work here part time and one couple will be spending the winter very close to where we live in FL. We have been finding the back ways and short cuts to avoid as much of the Cape traffic as possible and exploring bike paths, trails etc. The local Market Basket has been selling Lobster for $3.99/lb and will even cook it for you. We took advantage of that because we don't carry a large enough pot to cook them ourselves. we had the grand children over last weekend and they tested out all 3 pools and most of the playgrounds. They love it here as well.

Next time I get up that way, I am going to try Bay View. We spent a week at Scusset Beach and while it was nice to be close to family, etc., it wasn't my cup of tea. It didn't help that the weather was just awful... cold and rainy every day we were there. The sun came out shining the morning we packed up to head for Maine, Haha. Ugh

We have not stayed at Scusset Beach, but have been by there in the past. We have stayed a couple of times at Maple Park, (AKA Jellystone) because we thought it might be good for when the grand children visit. Maple Park is not nearly as nice as Bay View and the price is comparable. We would only go there again if Bay View was full. We would like to try Bourne Scenic park sometime, but they had a 2 week limit and we have never been able to get an opening there when we were going to be in the area.

Bourne looked nice and it was a little closer to where we were visiting (Fairhaven)... unfortunately, I couldn't get a spot there when I made reservations. Oh well...

Another decent little campground we stayed at was the Boston/Cape Cod KOA in Middleboro, MA. I'd stay there again as it was close to where I needed to be.
