Bayley's Anyone?

This past week I made some reservations for Bayley's Campground in Scarborough, ME. It's pretty close to where the DW's family is so that was the main reason for picking this spot.

Anyone have experience staying at Bayley's?

I'm somewhat familiar with the area because I lived in Portland back in the 70s. But I am sure a lot has changed.

We have been there several times; most recent in October 2010. Great family campground. We stayed in the back near the canoe launch and found good sized sites. Other sites can be cramped, but, it depends on what you are hauling. Bring your bikes. The CG is bigger than it appears on a map...

Thanks Shin Pond Hunter. Bikes are coming and we tentatively have one of their larger spots (V11) that backs up to some trees. When I made the reservation, I asked for something quiet and secluded but I guess we'll find out when we get there. At least it's close for DW to visit her family and friends.

It will probably be about a six week trip... but the return route is still not firmed up.

I envy you! Someday! Our friends (and their 4 children) took an entire month off last summer and traveled from Ohio to California, with many stops in between. All in all, they covered over 8000K miles.

We've waited a long time to be able to do this. We'll be stopping 2-3 days at some campgrounds along the way and longer periods once we reach our destination. Really looking forward to it. I'm just thankful that I was able to find a place close by, otherwise MIL would have said "why don't you just park in my driveway"!
