Dan, you didn't tell us where your spot is. But then again I didn't tell you where mine is either.

Tunce: good point... my picture is from a trip last weekend where we went to Salt Point State Park, north of San Francisco about 2 hours right on the coast. We discovered the overflow lot where fully contained only RVs can go... we we shared a huge area with only one other camper.

Activities: whale watching from the dinner table (grays, humpbacks, sperm whales), tide pools about 1000 feet away, short walk through wildflowers to a beach, lots of harbor seals make their home their. If you are into nature (which we are) this was an amazing place!

I've been down that way near Mendocino and it's beautiful beyond words. I'm usually on the Oregon , Northern Ca. Coast. But this one of my spots on the Rogue River

The next camp site

I really think a true camper believes the NEXT camp site is the BEST camp site.
But until then this spot in the Smoky Mtns was pretty special.

You know your CG's Richard. I'm hesitant to write about how great it was... it's already
hard to get a good site during the summer months.
