Best place to camp near orlando/lakeland

Trying to plan ahead for Spring Break next year. We are planning on taking the trailer to FLorida. In laws stay in Lakeland, and kids would like to see Tigers spring training in Lakeland. We would also like to be near orlando or the ocean. Any suggestions for the best place to stay? We have three kids (16, 12, 10). Thank you so much.

Last April we stayed at the Orlando/Kissimmee KOA and liked it. The bathrooms and showers were clean and spacious. The pool and surrounding area was nice and clean. We did Disney one day. Drove to Clearwater Beach (beautiful) the next. About an hour ride. And Daytona the next, hour ride so well.

Look at Lake Louisa State Park. Quiet, wooded, & near lakes & off RTE 27 so Disney is a clear shot & I-4 to Lakeland as well.

Also call Jetty park CG near Cape Canaveral. Walk to beach from CG, near Cocoa beach & Beach line (528) takes you straight into Orlando & I-4 about 45-50 minute drive to Orlando Int'l airport.

FYI, KOA's in the area do not take reservations beyond the end of this year. I have tried each one for a reservation ion February 2018 and no one will take it. Also contacted corp and asked why in view of the fact that all state campgrounds and most private are already booked. Their 3 line reply was, "thanks for contacting us but each KOA is privately owned and they decide when to take reservations." Seems short sighted to me but that's what it is.
