Devils Lake in Wisconsin is our favorite all time place to camp. And starved rock in Illinois is a good second. If the rest of the list lives up to these it's a great list.

Some of them may be GREAT places to visit, but they don't necessarily have camping. Some are just day-parks.

Agree... We have hiked all over the area listed for SC but no camping unless you are back-packing a tent.

Haven't been to Devils Lake in quite a few years but that's one of the best state parks for hiking in the mid-west. It always makes "best of" lists.

The hiking and rock climbing there is fantastic. And they are in the process of replacing all of the old CCC bath houses with new ones. The old ones were good, the new ones are wonderful. We try to get up there for a week every summer and then again for Columbus Day weekend for the fall colors. And there is a lot to do in the area also. Steam train museum, circus world museum, Wisconsin dells. Obviously we love that park. Been going there for over 35 years and still have fun there.

I guess everyone has their own opinion but I don't think Devil's Den in Arkansas is the best one. There are several much better IMHO

Campground guide

I'M a newbie to the RV world - been tent camping in forests and random backroads for years. Now I own a 2011 Jayco Skylark 22 so need to learn about TT friendly places Wondering what is suggested as the best RV & Campground guide - paper or website.
Thanks
