Breaks Interstate Park

Anyone ever camped at the Breaks in Virginia? We go there about twice a year, always a large crowd on Memorial Day, and Labor Day. They have a big Gospel singing on those weekends, very nice place.

We haven't ventured to that part of Virginia yet, but we hope to explore the Western parts sometime in the future when we drive the "Blue Ridge Parkway" North. Never heard of Breaks Interstate Park but we'll check out when the time comes!

Sorry to report we've never been there. We've only done FL, GA, AL and NC. We need to expand our travels.

been in that area many times on business but never was at camp ground. Do they have sites for larger trailers and electric or water at sites.
roads are fairly winding and some hills but nice scenery . Its still coal country there and a few unique places along with small cafes and antiques and freindly people. A lot of great roads for motorcycle rides if you can avoid the coal trucks. smoth pavement and winding mountain roads. And the little I have seen of the park is big and senic and there is a lake for fishing. Interstste means part is va. and part ky. I think

Yes they do have large full hook up sites. The campground has 3 sections A, B, and C. They just opened up some new cabins, and they have a lodge. There are some nice scenic overlooks, and a coal musuem, along with several shelters that can be reserved. You can not reserve camp sites over the phone, I dont know why, but they have several spots. Here is a link to this place http://www.breakspark.com/
