Campground in Colorado Springs...?

I am looking for an RV campground around Colorado Springs that will be somewhat close to Pikes Peak/Garden of the Gods/etc. For whatever reason I have always preferred the State/national parks than the private Good Sam type campgrounds, although I could change my mind if there is a great one near Colorado Springs. I am leaning towards Mueller State Park, but I also know of Cheyenne Mtn State Park, 11 mile State Park, and Arkansas Headwaters State park. Any thoughts on these parks or any other suggestions? Thanks.

We are traveling with 2 children in a pop-up.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park, great place to stay if you can get reservations.

I will second Mueller State Park. Beautiful park and area. We loved the park and campground.

We stayed at cheyenne mountain state park, nice park. The kids likeds the playground, nice level sites and a awesome night view. The private campgrounds you are paying to park on top of each other that we looked at. Garden of the gods would be my 1st pick for private if you cannot get into one of the state parks. This was our view from our campsite. Bring a good set of binoculars you might see a bear on the mountain ridge also.

Cheyenne Mtn is a great park!!! We have stayed there twice in the summer and for about 10 days this winter over X-mas. We will be back again this summer in June.
