Campground prices going up

my friend is seasonal near me and he was just told his price is increasing $600 for next year and they have a waiting list, we have not gotten any info for next year at our campground but they are usually very late to share the info to limit the complaints

has anyone else had huge price increases for next year yet?

Our local campground raised their prices approx $5/night across the board for daily sites this year (new ownership). I haven't heard of any rate increase for the seasonal sites. However, I do know that I am #50 on the waiting list. I'm not overly anxious to have a seasonal site. But, I'm not going to turn one down if it becomes available.

In my local area (Northeast) specifically, Southern NY the daily rates have jumped considerably. We were always higher than most but now we are even higher.

I was very surprised by the rates on a recent trip down south. We did several "One Nighters" while travelling and the average was between $35 - $45 per night. Most of the name brand campgrounds by me are in the $90 - 100+ range per night.

Agreed! - In the past we were always able to call even mid week and get a spot for the weekend. Now there are no sites available for most weekends even far in advance...

There were times we'd camp Friday night till Sunday (good customer & lady liked me) for $30 + tax an now its $68. Normal price was $24 now it's around $30.
Didn't notice an increase with Corp of Engineers campground.

Bar Harbor KOA now is up over 100 for ocean front sites.


Also in Maine with lakefront sites each 100 feet wide and 100 feet deep with beach at site with water and electric is Seboomook Wilderness Campground. it is and has been $30 a night for years

Campground are full and rv’s are selling more than ever. Next year the boarder with Canada will be open. Things are going to get worse. Boon-docking is more common now due to the high cast at a campground. State parks have been busy. Just think next year will be. Worse!
