Cotton Hill Campground, Fort Gaines, GA.

We stayed at Cotton Hill Campground on our way to the Florida Panhandle. We only stayed one night but we will return for a longer stay. It's on the Walter F. George Lake, sometimes called Lake Eufaula, which stretches 85 miles up the Chattahoochee River.
It's run by the Corp of Engineers and they always do a great job.

We live in Albany and love Cotton Hill. Big roomy full hookup sites and always seems to have a cool breeze over there. Stayed there for the 4th of July and had a great time.

Just curious... were you able to use the sewage then?

Yes. Are they having issues? We stayed on site # 9 Marina View.

The county takes care of the sewage there and they are "re-negotiating" a contract and have not come to terms yet. The dump station is usable, but not the sewage at the sites. They gave us a $1 discount for the night; we were only the one night there, heading down to the panhandle.
