discounted seasonal camping?

We went camping with our my cousin's family in Minerva last summer and we love it, it has no hookups though. We can get a discounted seasonal because we can put it in my other cousins name since he does not camp and is a resident...it would be $300 for the may-oct.... we camp in this area nearby within an hour from it ( a couple different places) and my husband believes that we can leave it at the seasonal and take it with us to the other campgrounds and we will save gas money etc. Plus we will only have to haul it up there once and back. would you do it ..i need opinions! it is in the adirondacks which over 2 hours and 30 mins away from our house. all up huge mountains... also the campgrounds we want to got are 30 mins to 45 mins away from this site. OPINIONS!!!???

I store mine at a campground 275 miles away. I don't get to use it as much as I would like, but I do like the campground and the area.

I started this year leaving mine at our seasonal site. It is 2 hours away and i have no problems leaving it there. It sure was nice nit having to pack everything up and bring home and then put it in a storage lot here near the house. Plus when we get some nice weather we can go use it. Win-Win

This was our first year as a seasonal and let me tell you we had a blast, met some great people and they are coming back next year, we have moved passed meeting some strangers and now we are all good friends, one of our camping neighbors is having a new years and we are really looking forward to it.

Having the ability to grab some food and pack a bag and head out to the campground is great, it takes me about 40 mins to get to the campground from work so I usually meet the family at the camper

It sounds good to me....the fuel it would take to haul your trailer up there is a bonus. I would certainly consider this option.

That sounds nice to be able to do that. If you would normally store it outside anyway, may as well enjoy the beautiful scenery.

I would go for it! Especially if you can cancel out the next year if you don't like it.

We will be leaving our trailer in Az when summer comes. It is a 1300 mile trip each way so we made the decision to get a smaller trailer for use around our home in Idaho. Now we can travel without spending as much for fuel and no more worries about flat tires and other things. I guess our Jayco has/is becoming a second home for the winter.

well saw my cousins that have the seasonal at the place and they are considering being there the whole summer, my cousins wife is a teacher and maybe able to get a summer job nearby and have her kids in the swim program at the campground, they are making it so tempting plus the whole $300 a season thing is so crazy...we could drive up there every weekend! now i am looking into different places to tow it from there since its in the adirondacks and there are so many sites to goto

300 for the whole season is steal of a deal. I would grab that even if you did not use it the whole time. One week in a private CG can cost more then that....

thanks for everyones input....i am really leaning on the seasonal...i can take off whenever i want to go up there and it will be awesome!
