My trucker friend runs to Orlando twice a week and he told me Atlanta was the worst. He told me to pass through at 3-4am or 1-2pm and I'd have the less traffic to deal with. I'll be headed to Fort Wilderness in about a month.

Check out Fortfiends.net. (not friends, but Fiends as in finatic) Also there is a phone app "Sites at the Fort" that gives you site info and a picture. The information is what DISNEY has listed at there Front Desk.

Also if you are going through Atlanta you can use the HOV lane as long as there are two or more in the TV or MH.

I booked !!! I requested loops 1100 or 1200 as they seemed to be in the middle but not on top of everything. Now I will begin obsessing over a trip that starts more than a year from now.

Going Sat-Sat to avoid rush hour work traffic. Fayettville, NC will be my stop point to and from.

Actually they are at the very end. The middle would be 500, 600, 800, 900 or 1400.

Jopop, that's excellent. The bride and I did the fort in the fall of '14 and had a ball! We've been there a few times prior and have stayed in a property hotel (and loved it) and once aff property. Gotta say the Fort is my fav. I think Grumpy lives there. Every time I turned around the Mouse had his hand in my pocket but I always had a smile on my face.

Oh, I saw some 2000 loops or something further past. I guess that's something else?

We decided to make it a 12 night trip. We'll get there the week BEFORE spring break in order to hit the parks and what not. Than for the time we're there DURING spring break we'll hang out at the campground, enjoy the pool/lake, etc. More like traditional camping.

Looking forward to the trip.

I went to Fort Wilderness a few weeks ago for the first time since I was about 10 years old...I'm 42 now! It brought back so many memories camping as a kid. My parents had a big Layton TT and we spent lots of time a DFW.

Our trip a few weeks ago was spent in a cabin which are super nice. I got back and started looking at trailers and within a week of being back I bought the trailer below.

Plan to do a lot of trips to DFW without even going into the parks. I want my son (6 years old) to experience what I did.

We loved Fort Wilderness. Once I got into the spot. Man those roads are narrow and tight. At least the spots were angled..
