EAA AirVenture OSHKOSH

Will be heading to Oshkosh this year. Have never been there.
Anyone else been there? I am undecided between the regular campsites and the 24 hour generator allowed campsites. Can't afford the electric/Water sites. Camping at Camp Scholler.

Questions:.

1. Do they have water trucks that go around and fill water tanks with potable water?
2. Do they have a honey bucket that goes around to empty the Black tank?

How long does it take for them to do either of the above once you ask for the service?

Need to know ASAP.

Thank you

Can't help you with that, but wish i was going as well. It's been years ago and a bunch of us airlines guys went for a few days. We had hotel rooms somewhere, lol.

I saw the portable pumping but I am wondering if they also have water trucks to fill water tanks? I have a Camco 28 Gal. Portable Holding Tank, BUT, don't want to drag it along if I don't have to?
By the time they open tomorrow, I'll be out on a trip.

If all goes well, we may be flying to Wisconsin. Never stayed at the campground area. I can tell you, it's huge and may be sold out. Last year was a disappointment for a lot of people so I assume this year, it'll be crazy. Hope to see ya there!

TWP723,
Sounds like you have been there before. So, We are wondering just how many days we should plan? We are there more so for the airshows and looking around at the different aircraft. I don't think we will be interested in seminars that much.

Hope to run into you there.

This year we're staying with the plane right at the airport. I believe there's a minimum stay but not sure. We'll be there Tues-Sat. Scholler can get real soupy if it rains. We never stayed there but walked through it.
