There is a private camp ground just east of Eagle River called Chain of Lakes campground.
We've never camped there, but we did drive through a couple years ago to check it out. We were not impressed. The roads were gravel and dusty. Many of the campsites were seasonal rental where the the site is rented the year round. Being the case, many sites have decks and storage sheds giving us the impression that the place seemed rather trashy. Again that was just our impression.

There are several National Forest Service campgrounds just east of town. We camped there decades ago when I was a kid. They are rustic, or in other words with outhouses and no plug-ins that I am aware of. I'd have to recommend further research to find out if the sites at any of the camp grounds are suitable for trailers.

Yeah we heard some bad stuff about that one too, which is too bad since Eagle River is such a gorgeous place.

Hey Seann,

I live in Oshkosh, so High Cliff is about 30 minutes East of me. I'm trying to find a place in Eagle River which is 3.5 hours to the North of me.

This may or not be of help, but Bewabic State Park is about an hour from Eagle River.

Bewabic is our favorite place to go camping. I recommended it to another JOF member from Ontario. It happened that they were there the same weekend we were camping. They said they loved the campground/park. We had them over for a campfire and my Mrs got out her guitar. It was a very nice evening.

X2 on Tail_gunner's post. We make a 80 mile drive to bewabic state park multiple times a year and we love it there. Campsite are buffered by trees and most have good size sites. Plus only $18 a night.
