Early November - family campground close to SF Bay Area

Hello,

I will be picking up a new trailer in August, but I am trying to book the trips in advance (more less every 2 weeks). I need to plan something for early November:

- preferably 1-2 hours from SF Bay Area, CA
- only for weekend
- should be a place just to relax, short hikes possible, but we will be with 2.5 yrs old and 6 months old kids.

I would appreciate your suggestions. So far I booked Del Valle, Fallen Leaf Lake, Sunset Beach, Henry Cowell Redwoods, Pismo Beach, New Brighton Beach.

Thank you!

Samuel P Taylor and Memorial Park are good depending on the length of your trailer I think.

ETA:Samuel P Taylor 27ft, Memorial Park 35ft

Thank you! Memorial Park looks like very nice option. Trailer will be 33ft.

Would like to make a reservation in Memorial Park. I am confused about the description. The reservation center does not have a clue whether 33ft trailer would fit, the ranger does not pick up the phone...

The description states:

Max RV: 35'

Site Size
Length 30'
Width 35'

I will look into it a little more and see what I can find and what DH remembers from booking. I do have notes that say good spots are C 19, A2 (the trailer would be separate from the rest of the site). A12, and A32 seem to be what I noted as the best.

Also check Pinecrest anything in D loop is great and close to the lake.

Thank you! Finally I connected with a ranger and reserved Azalea 33. There were only 3 or 4 sites available. The park looks nice.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I want my calendar be busy with camping trips, at least over the weekends, until the kids are older.

Ideas

We have many friends who also like Cotillion Gardens in Santa Cruz mountains.
Will will taking a short trip to Bodega Bay rv park (an Hour north of SF) from
Our home in Fremont (near San Jose). The Coastanoa KOA south of
Half Moon Bay is nice too.
