East Harbor State Park

Well, we are headed up to spend a long weekend at East Harbor in Marblehead, OH. Never been there. We're looking forward to it. Will take a day trip over to Kelley's Island via ferry. We are taking my 71 yr old mom with us for her very first camping trip! She's a good sport so I think she'll have fun. Wish us luck!!!!

Loved our visit to Lake Erie! East Harbor was very nice. We stayed in Camping area B. We took bike ride through areas C & E and really happy that I picked B. There were alot of shade trees in B and hardly none in C & E which seemed like a crowded, open field to me, unless you were fortunate to get a spot in the cul-de-sac's, which backed up to the woods. Plus, we got a bad storm one day and C & E had alot of flooding. The beach was fantastic. They are in the process of building a new bathroom/shower house so in the meantime have to use the port-a-potties. The water was very shallow, which allowed my 6 yr old to have a bit more freedom. We took ferry over to Kelley's Island. Originally wanted to camp on Kelley's, but ferry rate was over the top for TT's. I loved that CG & just may splurge if we end up going to this area again. It's only 4 hrs from my home.
