Falls Creek Falls Tn? Give me your review.

Just finished making reservations for a trip next summer to Falls Creek Falls SP, in Tn. This will be my second visit, but its been a long time since I enjoyed the lake and water falls. 42 years ago and I was about 15 years old.

I got reserved a paved site with full hookups in area B.

Looks like the route in is on Hwy 111 to 284. Has anyone driven this road lately. Is it a steep drive and whats the drive time from Chattanooga?

Is there any grocery or towns near the park for shopping?

Any and all information welcome.

Thanks

We stayed there this Spring and really enjoyed it.

We went in 111 to 284 on the South side, the way in on the North end of the park isn't very RV friendly due to all the curves and steep grades.

There's a decent little market on 284 a few miles outside the park for anything you may have forgotten. Other than that I don't think there's much very near. There is a store in the park but it was closed when we were there. Also a restaurant over by the lodge on the lake.

No wifi when we were there, but there's enough outside stuff to do to keep you entertained. I think we got a couple TV channels over the air as well.

I would buy major groceries before arriving.

We went during a drought a few years ago but the falls were still amazing. It was neat that they let you swim in the river and jump off the rocks. I don’t remember the route we took but it was pretty steep and it seems like it took a good hour and a half from Chattanooga. I don’t recall seeing much around the park as far as supplies go. I wasn’t impressed with the meal we had in the lodge but from what I remember it wasn’t terrible.
