First Trip Of The Season, Marblehead Ohio (pics)

Well we just got back from the first trip of the year and it was an awesome one at that!!! We went to East Harbor State park for four days where my wife and daughter took in the sites while my buddy and I took his boat out and went Walleye fishing. The fishing was awesome (we limited out everyday) and the weather was even better. The only bad thing was this trip will be hard to top for the rest of the summer lol... Here are a few pics of the trip.

Rig ready to roll

29" Walleye

We were there a few years ago. We went to the island and up the lookout tower when a T-storm blew in. You could hear the lightning rods by the observation deck sizzling as the host herded people into the elevator! Then later in the day we were forced out into a downpour that would make Noah proud by the jackwagons at the ferry dock. Can you believe that on the last trip of the day they couldn't let us stay on the boat for a few minutes until the rain let up? Oh well, that's what memories are made of.

Thanks for the great pictures!!

Looks like I get to put myself in some of those pics because we are going in June for 4 nights! I'd appreciate any advice or things you've noticed about the CG or "must see" places. We had to get a spot in the "B" section (pull thru). Camping area C only had the flood prone spots left. It apparently is more popular because there were just a few spots left for our rig. That area also allowed pets while area B does not. Maybe that's why. Thanks for posting!

Awesome

Awesome photos, looks like a great campground. Glad you had a photo of the fish, otherwise would have thought same old fish story. Hoping you and family enjoy many more. Happy camping.

I'm glad to hear you had a great time at East Harbor. We are headed there this weekend for our first camping trip at that park.

We stayed at a private campground this past weekend. While it was OK overall it was just not as nice as the state parks we've been to, and so we are looking forward to going back to a state park.
