First trip of year to Gettysburg
Spent a week at 'Gettysburg Campground' after a recommendation from 'meadows11' that proved to be a wise choice. Sites are well maintained, albeit all gravel. Plenty of trees and the babbling creek was nice to hear as the CG was very quiet during the week. It is dog friendly, although ours stayed home this time, and they offered bags and receptacles for their "waste." We also left the kids at home, but the playground and (still closed) pool area was really nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful and took time out to for friendly conversation. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and one of the employees guided us to our site using his golf cart. Never had that happen before. Lol! The bathrooms/showers were more than adequate and always clean. The only negative thing I have is that the bathroom stalls are short. They don't have much room between toilet and door, so if you're a bigger person (men's also) then you may find them a bit uncomfortable when closing the door. The location was fantastic! We found the back way to the battlefield tour. The longest route couldn't be more than 3 miles to battlefield.
I would definitely stay here again!
