Fort De Soto

We just finished a 16 day trip from Ontario to St Petes. 5,500km.

We had a great time, even though the weather was a bit cooler than average. It beats all the snow back home.

Driving through West Virginia yesterday was a bit of a mess, now I have to give the entire rig a bath. Here are some pics from the trip.

1. Rest area on I75 North of Tampa
2,3,4,5,6,7. Campsite 178 at Fort De Soto
8,9. Hit freezing rain in West Virginia... And covered in salt

That's a beautiful park. I grew up 40 miles and never camped, only did day trips. Now I am 10 hours away and have a camper and want to Go! I bet you were sad to leave!

We have camped there twice with our pop-up quite a few years ago. Once we purchased a travel trailer it's almost been impossible to get in to. We travel to Florida twice a year [not camping] and visit the Fort every time. Love it

It is about 20 minutes from our house (in non-spring-break season. Love it there!!! Yup you came at our second cold spell, if you can call it that.
